ASTANA-TBILISI. May 7. KAZINFORM. - U.S. President George W. Bush said he had decided to go to Tbilisi in order to see the evolvement of young
democracy in Georgia with his own eyes, Kazinform quotes Itar-Tass.

In an interview with the Tbilisi-based television company Rustavi-2 broadcast on Friday, Bush said he was delighted by how events were developing in Georgia in the post-revolution period and wanted to see it with his own eyes.

Bush's official programme of the visit has not been announced yet. But different sources say he will meet with Georgian President Mikhail
Saakashavili and address lawmakers in parliament on May 10. He will also speak to people in Tbilisi's central Freedom Square.

Bush is expected to make a trip to the ancient capital of Georgia, Mtskheta (about 20 kilometers from Tbilisi). He also plans to meet with
former President Eduard Shevardnadze and lay flowers at the tomb of his wife who died in October 2004.
