Wednesday, 16 December 2009Informal summit of CIS heads of state will take place in Almaty (Kazakhstan) on 19-20 December, 24.kg reported citing Ilyas Omarov, a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.
Urgent issues of regional cooperation and counteraction to challenges and threats, economic cooperation, including establishment of the Customs Union in line with the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) will be considered at the meeting.
Participants of the summit will listen to report on creation of the Common economic space of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.
Besides, heads of the states will exchange views over providing economic, humanitarian and political security in the region before the 10th anniversary of EurAsEC and beginning of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the community and OSCE in 2010. |
