Monday, 14 December 2009Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met on Monday with his Serbian and Bosnian counterparts in Bosnia-Herzegovina where he will attend a Ministerial Meeting on Alliance of Civilizations Southeast Europe Strategy.
Davutoglu, Bosnian Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj, and Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic held a tripartite meeting in Sarajevo prior to the meeting of Alliance of Civilizations.
Davutoglu told reporters after the meeting that Turkey and Serbia were extending support to the efforts to provide national unity in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Noting that Turkey, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina shared the common view regarding regional integrity, Davutoglu expressed pleasure over membership of Bosnia-Herzegovina in UN Security Council.
Davutoglu said that the next tripartite meeting would take place in Belgrade.
Bosnian minister said that the meeting was very fruitful, adding that they would continue their efforts. Alkalaj said that they discussed the matters concerning the three countries, and they would pursue cooperation.
Jeremic said that they aimed to hold this meeting once in every month, and added that all three countries were supporting territorial integrity of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
