Monday, 7 December 2009Turkish State Minister Zafer Caglayan said on Saturday that Turkey and Macedonia had the opportunity to cooperate in transportation, energy, industry, trade and many other areas.
Speaking at Turkish-Macedonian Business Forum, Caglayan said that trade volume between Turkey and Macedonia was 328 million USD which was not satisfactory for both countries. We have the potential to increase this figure to one billion USD, he added.
Noting that over 100 Turkish businessmen invested more than 180 million USD in Macedonia, Caglayan said that Turkish contractor companies had a business volume of 450 million USD.
Meanwhile, Macedonian Minister without portfolio Hadi Neziri said that Macedonia was a door for Turkey to EU, adding that there was no double taxation to Turkish businessmen and no visa procedures for Turkey in Macedonia, and also Turkish language was used in every part of Macedonia which were advantages for Turkish investors.
