Monday, 23 November 2009International Gas Union (IGU), founded in 1931, suggested the Central Asian states - Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to join its structure. The General Secretary of the International Gas Union, Torstein Indrebo, informed, at the conference in Ashkhabad Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2009, Kazakhstan Today agency reports citing Trend Capital.
T. Indrebo, in particular, said that "thanks to foreign investments Turkmenistan could influence the global picture of the energy world market."
IGU unites the enterprises and organizations of the gas industry of many countries. The main directions - extraction, transportation, storage, use, and distribution of gas.
