Friday, 20 November 2009At the plenary session, the deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan passed the Law on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Chinese National Republic on cooperation in construction and operation of the gas pipeline Kazakhstan - China, Kazakhstan Today agency reports.
According to the document, Kazakhstan accepts an obligation to provide free transportation of gas on the territory of Kazakhstan according to the procedures stipulated in the legislation of Kazakhstan without collection of state transit tax. The document is to be ratified, the conclusion of Majilis Committee for International Relations, Defense and Security states.
As informed earlier, the agreement on the principles of construction and operation of the gas pipeline Kazakhstan - China was signed on November 8, 2007 in Astana between JSC Company KazMunaiGas and the Chinese National Oil and Gas Corporation (CNPC) during the official visit to Kazakhstan of Vice Prime Minister of the Peoples Republic of China.
