Here are the main topics that the English News Desk of "Anadolu Agency" has to cover on November 19, 2009:

1- Turkish President Abdullah Gul will host a banquet in Istanbul in honor of members of the Independent Commission on Turkey chaired by Martti Ahtisaari. (8:00 p.m.)
2- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet Mahmoud Al-Abrash, speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly, in Ankara. Erdogan will also have separate meetings with members of the Independent Commission on Turkey chaired by Martti Ahtisaari and Sayyed Ammar Al-Hakim, leader of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq. (noon/3:30 p.m./5:00 p.m.)
3- Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin will get together with Mahmoud Al-Abrash, speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly, in Ankara. Sahin and Al-Abrash will also co-chair the meeting of delegations. (10:00 a.m./10:15 a.m.)
- Sahin will host a banquet in honor of Al-Abrash. (7:00 p.m.)
4- Turkish State Minister and Chief EU Negotiator Egemen Bagis will receive U.S. Deputy Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Mark Parris, as well as Dutch Ambassador to Turkey Jan-Paul Dirkse and British Ambassador to Turkey David Reddaway. (11:00/11:30 a.m./noon)
- Bagis will also host a luncheon in honor of members of the Independent Commission on Turkey chaired by Martti Ahtisaari. (1:00 p.m.)
5- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will attend Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai's oath-taking ceremony in Kabul.
6- The protocol on the 3rd meeting of Turkey-Bangladesh Joint Economic Committee, co-chaired by Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin and Bangladesh's Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, will be signed in Ankara. (11:00 a.m.)
7- The 5th International Turkey-Africa Congress, organized by Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies, will begin in Istanbul. (9:30 a.m.)
