Wednesday, 18 November 2009Following the results of the negotiations of the Secretary of State - Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, the officials signed the the plan of cooperation measures between foreign policy departments of two countries for 2010, Kazakhstan Today agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
According to the press service, the foreign policy departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation signed the plan of cooperation measures for 2010 and the agreement between the governments of two countries on health services of the personnel of Baikonur.
"During the meeting, the parties also reached a cooperation agreement in OSCE format - the CIS as the next year Russia will preside in the CIS. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs also considered the questions of cooperation within the integration associations of the CIS, SCO and the United Nations, some pressing questions regarding security in the Central Asian region including the Afghani problem, and exchanged opinions on the legal status of the Caspian Sea," the press service informed.
