Tuesday, 17 November 2009The Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in the long term will serve as a platform for creation of the uniform economic space and then the Eurasian Economic Union. The Secretary of State - Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, informed on Monday, the Kazakhstan Today agency reports citing RIA Novosti.
"Big prospects are opening with creation of the Customs Union, such as free transportation of goods, increase in investment streams and mutual goods turnover between our countries. In the long term, the Customs Union will serve as a platform for creation of higher step of integration - uniform economic space with four freedoms principle: freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and labor," K. Saudabayev said.
Kazakhstan has always supported strengthening of regional integration on the Eurasian space.
"Stage-by-stage integration of the Customs Union member countries, uniform economic space and other forms of integration in the long term may create preconditions for creation of the Eurasian Economic Union," he considers.
