A delegation from German state of Hesse had talks in the Turkish parliament in Ankara on Wednesday.
Roland Koch, Prime Minister of the German state of Hesse, had a meeting with Murat Mercan, chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of Turkish parliament.
Mercan said he believed that cooperation and friendly ties between Turkey and Germany would keep developing in the coming years.
Improvement of bilateral relations were of great importance for the future of Europe, Mercan said.
"Turkey has been carrying on its EU access process with great determination. The government and the parliament have been fulfilling their tasks for the accession process," he said.
In his part, Koch said Germany and Hesse state attached great importance to relations with Turkey.
