Wednesday, 11 November 2009The deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan at the plenary session agreed with the amendments introduced by the Senate to the bill on the amendments and additions to the Customs Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thus, according to regulations, the bill is considered accepted and is being forwarded to the head of state to be signed into law, Kazakhstan Today agency reports.
The bill has been developed to bring the customs legislation of Kazakhstan in conformity with the base clauses of the agreement on application of the article of VII General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade of 1994.
The bill introduces changes to the customs legislation, corresponding to the requirements of the WTO member countries, regarding the practice of defining of customs cost and expansion of the number of individuals, customs applicants, during the procedure of movement of goods and vehicles through the customs border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
