Tuesday, 3 November 2009USAK House, which is the first think tank building in Turkey, will be opened by Turkish President H.E. Abdullah Gul on 4 November 2009. During the opening ceremony, President Gul will also give the first lecture, in which he will discuss Turkish foreign policy and defense policies. Ambassadors of the foreign missions in Ankara and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, prominent scholars from the disciplines of international relations and political science and journalists are expected to attend the opening ceremony. This will be the first time for a Turkish President to give a lecture in a Turkish think tank organization.
The International Strategic Research Organization (USAK), which is an NGO based in Ankara, comprises 34 researchers within 8 research centers. USAK House has seven floors, including a conference hall with the capacity to hold 150 people and a workshop room with the capacity to hold 70. In addition to these two facilities, USAK House also has two seminar rooms.
The Opening Ceremony will be held at noon (12:00) on 4 November 2009 at USAK House, which is located at Mebusevleri Mah. Ayten Sok. No: 21, Tandogan / Ankara.
