Monday, 26 October 2009Israeli authorities decided to open the Kerem Shalom and Karni crossings on Monday, but kept the Nahal Oz fuel terminal closed.
According to Raed Fattouh, a Palestinian crossings official, Israeli authorities will allow shipments of 86-96 truckloads of aid through Kerem Shalom, while 95 trucks loaded with wheat and animal feed are expected to enter the Gaza Strip through Karni.
Fattouh added that Nahal Oz crossing will be closed. There were no indications Israel was planning to allow exports.
On Sunday, only Kerem Shalom crossing was open, while Israel kept the Nahal Oz and Karni crossings closed. |
