Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered Monday his condolences to Iranian President Mahmud Ahmedinejad over Sunday's bomb attack in southeastern Iran, Turkish media reported.

Erdogan called Ahmedinejad and expressed his profound sorrow over the incident, saying the attack once again revealed the importance of existing cooperation in fight against terrorism, said the semi-official Anatolia news agency, Xinhua reported.

The prime minister was quoted of telling Ahmedinejad that he wanted to discuss ways to further improve Turkey-Iran cooperation in the anti-terrorism field during a state visit to Iran due late this month, according to the agency.

A deadly bomb attack occurred in Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan province near Iran's border with Pakistan on Sunday, killing some 30 people, including a number of Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) commanders, and injuring 30 others, according to Iran's official IRNA news agency.

The Sunni rebel group Jundallah (God's soldiers) has claimed responsibility for the deadly suicide attack.
