Bishkek Discusses Media Development

Future of local Media is going to be discussed in Bishkek one of these days, press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.

The discussion participants will talk over Mass Media Development in Kyrgyzstan, legal regulations and improvement of current legislation in regard of the Mass Media, news agency "24.kg" reported.

The panel discussion will also include a quiz about change of media situation in Kyrgyzstan in 2005-2009. The event is expected to be attended by members of parliament, state administration officials, non-governmental and international organizations' employees.

The discussion is organized by a Civic Initiative of Internet-Policy public foundation in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Parliament, Institute of Mediaproducer, Ministry of Culture and Information, Center of Informational Right and Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan.
