Georgia, Tbilisi, October 17 / Trend News, N.Kirtskhalia /

Supposedly the presidential powers will be limited in the new Constitution, The chairman of the commission Avtandil Demetrashvili told reporters before the meeting of the council of advisers.

According to him, the council of advisers will discuss limiting the powers of the president. At this point, will be considered limiting the president's right to dissolve the government and cancel its acts. In parallel, parliament's powers will be expanded and it will control the president, said Demetrashvili.

"Under the new model, the president is the head of state, who embodies the unity and integrity of the country, is the supreme representative of the country in international relations and ensures functioning of state agencies. Basically it is the arbitrator in the functioning of public authorities." said Avtandil Demetrashvili.
