New U.S ambassador to Georgia John Bass delivered copies of credentials to Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze on October 16. John Bass said that he had an interesting and long meeting with Vashadze. 

"We could discuss all urgent problems," he said.

Ambassador confirmed U.S deputy minister of defense Alexander Vershbow's visit to Georgia. Vershbow's visit will be full of meetings and talks," he said.

Vershbow's visit will be held on October 19-20.

Bass said that he will make all comments after he takes office. At present, he delivers credentials to Georgian President. Afterwards, he will take office.
