U.S Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Vershbow will visit Georgia within a working group established under the Georgian-American charter on strategic partnership, Georgian Foreign Minister Alexander Nalbandov told journalists on Oct.16.

Several working groups have been established under the charter, Nalbandov added. Vershbow's visit will be in the format of the Georgia-U.S security and cooperation group, Nalbandov said.

Vershbow will visit Georgia on Oct.19, U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Bass said.
