Blast took place in the apartment building in Baku.

A flat No.78 of the apartment building No.44 located in the Ganja Avenue in Khatai District of Baku blasted as a result of gas leakage at 06:35 on Oct.16, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said.

Windowpanes were broken as a result of explosion. Owner of the flat Ravana Malikova and her son Amil were injured. They were taken to the hospital.

The investigation is underway.
