U.S. President congratulates Azerbaijani president & Azerbaijani people on Day of State Independence

U.S. President Barack Obama congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people on the Day of State Independence on behalf of the American people, AzerTaj state news agency reported.

In his congratulation message, Obama stressed that Azerbaijan is an important partner of the U.S and two countries are working together to strengthen regional stability and prosperity. The U.S. President said that the U.S wishes to further strengthen existing ties.

Obama wished Azerbaijan peace and prosperity.
