Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to hold the 6th International Scientific Olympiad amongst teenagers in Baku, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

The order mentions the decision of the organizing committee of the International Science Olympiads to hold the 6th International Scientific Olympiad in December 2009 in Azerbaijan.

Upon the order, in order to increase the interest of the younger generation in science, identify their creative potential and organize the Olympic Games at a high level, the Presidential Reserve Fund will allocated 2.4 million manat to the Ministry of Youth and Sport. The Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Academy of Sciences and the State Commission on Student Admission are in charge of organizing Olympics.
