The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has repeatedly proposed to establish cooperation with the NATO, including in such pressing issues as fight with the Afghan drug trafficking, counterterrorism, CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha told the Kazakhstan Today news agency.

"We expect Brussels to change attitude towards the CSTO after a change in leadership of the Alliance," Bordyuzha added.

According to Bordyuzha the organization is actively cooperating with the UN and has the appropriate contacts with the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and several other committees, working with the secretariat.

The UN General Assembly will soon consider the resolution on the UN-CSTO cooperation "So, we are entering to more serious and in-depth collaboration with the UN agencies. The OSCE is one of our closest partners. We have everything beginning from join projects and regular consultations in the sphere of our interaction I spoke at the OSCE Permanent Council and about six months ago the OSCE Secretary General spoke in this building at a meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council. We have regular meeting and we have attended major events of the OSCE, as well as the OSCE Secretary General and heads of the organization's departments take part in the CSTO events, including those that take place under the Collective Security Council, upon our invitation," the Secretary General said.
