Pakistani officials say attacks on four law enforcement buildings in the country's east and northwest have killed at least 25 people.

Gunmen in the eastern city of Lahore Thursday fired on a building housing the Federal Investigation Agency, or FIA, which examines matters relating to immigration and terrorism.  Officials say four police officers and one other person were killed in the attack.

At least 15 other gunmen attacked two police training centers on the outskirts of Lahore.  One of the attacks, in the suburb of Manawa,  killed 10 people, including six police officers, one gunman and three attackers who blew themselves up.

Meanwhile, in northwest Pakistan, near Peshawar, a suicide car bomber targeting a police station killed at least eight people, including school children and police officers.

In recent days, militants have carried out four high-profile terrorist attacks that killed more than 100 people.

No one has claimed responsibility for Thursday's attacks, but the Pakistani Taliban has vowed to target military and government targets throughout the country.

Pakistani intelligence officials said earlier Thursday that a suspected missile strike from a U.S. drone (unmanned aircraft) killed at least four militants in the North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
