On Oct. 14, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent greetings to the participants of XV Congress of the European Fair Play Movement, which started in Baku, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

"Noble goals of your Movement which since its establishment, adhering its proper principles, fights injustice, violence, religious and racial discrimination in sports, the cases of violation of contest rules, is deservedly assessed in Azerbaijan," the message says.

"The measures you constantly undertake to solve the question of harmonious development of young generation, instilling the spirit of fair fight and rules of high culture of behavior in sports, persistent support of justice, are considered praiseworthy by our sportsmen," the President said.

Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the Movement currently comprising 40 countries will expand its activity year by year.
"Your congress has been devoted to urgent issues such as dialogue, peace, mutual understanding, justice and tolerance. I am convinced that you will have detailed discussions and your decisions will contribute to developing mutual relations, uniting international sports organizations more closely around the European Fair Play Movement. I hope that you will be impressed by the organization of the congress in Baku, your acquaintance with our capital which has great experience in hosting excellent sports events, your meetings with our sportsmen who had successful performances in Olympic games and European championships," the message by the President of Azerbaijan says.
