Azerbaijani President Inaugurates Hovsan Olympic Sport Complex

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today has inaugurated Olympic Sport Complex in Hovsan, a settlement near the capital city of Azerbaijan, AzerTaj state news agency reported.

The Hovsan public and sport community warmly welcomed here the President.


The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing official opening of the complex. Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the sports facilities.


Construction of the complex started in June 2007. It includes cafe, swimming pool, stadium, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts and mini-football pitch. There are two gyms in the complex.


The complex has been equipped with modern sports devices.


Amenities of the area around the complex include modern lighting and plants.


The Head of State congratulated athletes and the public on the opening of the complex and wished them success.
