TURKEY IS TERROR VICTIM |

On Wednesday, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the PACE fall session in Strasbourg, said Turkey had accomplished a great deal in fulfilling its CE commitments.{BR}
Among Turkey's achievements Erdogan mentioned death penalty abolishment, considerable success in human rights protection area and ongoing efforts on rooting out violence in the country.
He said Turkey had given all its citizens a right to profess any religion and to study any language.
"We are focusing our bids also on Cyprus problem. To solve the problem Turks and Creeks have to reach an accord. However, we see no sign of good will on the Geek side", Erdogan said.
Turkish premier reminded that many terrorist acts had been committed in Turkey's territory and said terrorism is the country's top concern and the crack-down on terrorism is considered among the issues of the firs priority.
In his opinion, Council of Europe should struggle against more vigorously. He urged the CE to widen extent of its activity and cooperate with various religious organizations and said Turkey can help it in that matter.
Erdogan also turned to Iraq in his speech. He said Iraqi interim government isn't satisfactory to set order in the country.
"We are ready to provide medicines and food to Iraq but we can't ignore the fact that dozens of Turkey's citizens were killed there recently. We want to see neighboring Iraq free of terrorism", Turkish premier said.
