Golden Orange Film Festival in Antalya - Leading Actors Presented With Honorary Awards

Several leading actors were presented with honorary awards during the Golden Orange Film Festival, the longest-standing and the most prestigious festival of Turkey which began in the southern Turkish province of Antalya on October 10.
Selda Alkor, Devlet Devrim, Ekrem Bora, Engin Caglar, Esref Kolcak, Gonul Yazar, Halit Akcatepe, Mine Soley, Parla Senol, Nilufer Aydan, Selma Guneri, Suzan Avci, Suleyman Turan, Tanju Gursu, Yusuf Sezgin, Suna Selen and Ediz Hun were given "Honorary Awards" for their great contributions to the Turkish cinema.
Kadir Inanir, a leading name of the Turkish cinema, was given the "Lifetime Achievement Award". Inanir won the award nine years ago, but could not attend the ceremony because of his busy schedule.
Hollywood celebrity Theresa Russell was also presented with an honorary award. She said that she was proud to be in attendance at the festival.

-GOLDEN ORANGE FILM FESTIVAL-
More than 180 Turkish and foreign movies will be screened during this year's festival.
Sixteen Turkish films, 26 short films, 25 documentaries and 12 international feature films will be competing for the Golden Orange Award.
Leading Turkish movie-maker Erden Kiral will head the jury for the 46th Golden Orange National Film Awards. Other members of the jury are Nurgul Yesilcay, Izzet Gunay, Mustafa Altioklar, Yavuz Bingol, Mustafa Ziya Ulkenciler, Omur Gedik, Sirri Sureyya Onder and Zeynep Oral.
Worldwide famous Polish Director Krzystof Zanussi will lead the jury for the 46th Golden Orange International Film Awards. His latest film "And A Warm Heart" will be screened during the festival. The jury also includes Hungarian film director Karoly Makk, American festival curator Stephen Ashton, Turkish director Canan Gerede and Turkish actress Pelin Batu. This year's international film awards includes the "Best Film Award" and the "Best Director Award".
This year's competitors for the Golden Orange International Film Awards are "Eastern Plays" by Bulgarian director Kamen Kalev, "English Strawberries" by Czech Director Vladimir Drha, "Operation Danube" by Jacek Glomb, "aper Soldier" by Alexey German Jr., "Ambulance" by Serbian director Goran Radovanovic, "The Other Bank" by Georgi Ovashvilli, "Katalin Varga" by Peter Strickland, "East of Me" by Bojena Horockova, "10 to 11" by Pelin Esmer, "Border" by Harutyun Khachattryan, "Sicak" by Abdullah Oguz and "Freedom" by Davide Farrario.
