IMF - World Bank Meetings Begin in Istanbul

Annual meetings of IMF and World Bank began in Istanbul on Tuesday.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is attending the formal opening of the meetings at Istanbul Congress Center.
Preparatory meetings were held between September 28 and October 5.
High-level General Assembly meeting will take place on Tuesday, and the annual meetings will end on Wednesday with a closing session.
Nearly 15,000 people from 186 countries are expected to attend the IMF-World Bank annual meetings.
Turkey, except for the U.S., is the first country that is hosting IMF-World Bank annual meetings for the second time.
