Monday, 5 October 2009The Turkish foreign minister will pay a working trip to the Netherlands this week, his office said on Monday.
Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will travel to the Netherlands on Wednesday upon an invitation by his Dutch counterpart Maxime Verhagen.
Davutoglu is expected to discuss bilateral relations, Turkey's European Union (EU) membership negotiations, and regional and international matters during his meetings with Dutch executives.
The Turkish and Dutch foreign ministers will open the third Turkey-the Netherlands conference within the framework of a memorandum of understanding on boosting bilateral relations signed on March 2008.
Also, high-level bureaucrats of the Turkish National Education, Culture, Tourism and Energy and Natural Resources Ministries will meet their Dutch interlocutors and discuss cooperation opportunities.
Davutoglu will also deliver a speech on Turkey's foreign policy and EU-Turkey relations at a meeting jointly organized by think-tank Societeit de Witte, Turkey Institute and Clingendael Netherlands Institute of International Relations.
The Turkish foreign minister will also come together with representatives of Turkish associations in the Netherlands at the Turkish Embassy in The Hague. |
