Harry Connick Jr. 'Your Songs' CDThis week, five albums debut in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Harry Connick Jr.'s Your Songs enters at Number 8. Five Finger DeathPunch comes in at Number 7 with War Is the Answer. Daisy by BrandNew debuts at Number 6. Three Days Grace enters at Number 3 with LifeStarts Now. And, Pearl Jam earns its first chart-topper since 1996with Backspacer. In other chart news, Madonna ties Elvis Presley'sU.K. record for the most Number One album debuts by a solo artist. Madonna's new anthology, Celebration, is her 11th U.K. chart-topper. The Beatles continue to hold the record with 15 Number One albums.
BEP Still Tops Billboard Hot 100 Chart
The Black Eyed PeasTheBlack Eyed Peas continue their reign at the top of Billboard's Hot 100chart this week. It's the group's 14th week at Number One with "IGotta Feeling." Preceding this hit, the Black Eyed Peas had a 12-weekrun at the top of the chart with "Boom Boom Pow." Only one other acthas spent more weeks at Number One in a single year in the 51-yearhistory of the Hot 100. In 2004, Usher held the top spot for 28nonconsecutive weeks with four different songs from his Confessionsalbum.
Live Nation Cancels Kanye West-Lady GaGa Tour Kanye West Concert promoter Live Nation has announced thecancellation of Kanye West and Lady GaGa's "Fame Kills" tour. Plans forthe outing were announced just two weeks ago and tickets have been onsale for one week. Live Nation didn't give a reason for thecancellation, but said refunds would be given to ticket holders. Thetour was scheduled to begin on November 10 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Backstreet Boys Release New Album
TheBackstreet Boys' new album, This Is Us, will be released on October6. Last month, the group launched its world tour in support of thealbum. Their 26 European dates begin on October 30 in Portugal andwrap up on December 6 in Denmark. North American shows are beingplanned for 2010.DJ AM Death Ruled Accidental
Adam Goldstein aka "DJ AM"The New York City medical examiner's officehas ruled that Adam Goldstein died of an accidental overdose ofprescription drugs and cocaine. The 36-year-old celebrity, betterknown as DJ AM, had OxyContin, Hyrocodone, Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin,Benadryl and Levamisole in his system. While the dosage of each wasnot released, the medical examiner said the cause of death was "acuteintoxication" brought on by the combined effects of the drugs. DJ AMhad reportedly been sober for 11 years prior to his death.

Forthe second year in a row, Dailey & Vincent won the InternationalBluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award for Entertainer of the Year. The band also won this year's Vocal Group of the Year honor and GospelRecorded Performance of the Year award for "On the Other Side." Look Who's Going On Tour!
Jay-Z 'The Blueprint' CD cover OnOctober 9, hip-hop star Jay-Z will kick off a 23-city North Americantour in University Park, Pennsylvania. He'll be supporting his NumberOne album, The Blueprint 3. Its debut single, "Run This Town,"featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, reached Number One on the U.K. chartand the U.S. rap chart.
The Who's Roger Daltrey will begin aNorth American tour on October 10th in Vancouver, British Columbia. The "Use It Or Lose It" tour marks his first solo outing since 1985. 65-year-old Daltrey will visit 29 cities before wrapping up the trek inClearwater, Florida on November 30. In a recent interview, Daltreysaid he's doing the tour to keep his voice in shape for any futureperformances with The Who.
