Iran will launch production of submarines of middle displacement (500 tons' displacement) in the next two years, the FARS news agency reported with reference to Deputy Commander of the Iranian Naval Forces, Farhad Amiri.

According to Amiri, so far Iran has produced a large number of vessels of small displacement.

Iran has set afloat in the Caspian Sea the Deravsh missile frigate. Deravsh was equipped with 76-mm guns, which are the most modernized weapons in the military fleet, Amir added.

The military vessel was built by Iranian experts. It possesses more than 100 types of military equipment, including missiles with radar, artillery, and communications systems. The vessel is designed for strong waves.
