Friday, 2 October 2009The Albanian foreign minister met the Turkish ambassador on Thursday.
Albania's Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ilir Meta had a meeting with Turkey's Ambassador to Albanian Hasan Asan in Tirana, his office said.
The Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement in which it said two countries had close cooperation, and perfect relations between the two countries would further improve security, peace and economy in the region.
Asan said Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was willing to visit Tirana soon upon an invitation by Meta.
Davutoglu will visit Albania before Turkish President Abdullah Gul's scheduled trip to this country due on December 10-11. |
