Militants Kill 7 Tribal Chiefs In Nw Pakistan

Militants killed seven tribal chiefs in Bannu district in northwest Pakistan, local TV channels reported Thursday.
  
According to sources in Jani Khel area of Bannu, the seven tribal elders killed by militants were members of peace committee bodies supporting the Pakistani government against militants, Xinhua reported.
  
The dead bodies of the assassinated tribal heads were found from various parts of Bannu on Thursday morning. Four dead bodies have been moved to the Bannu District Hospital and investigations are underway.
  
The reports said that over 400 pro-government tribal chiefs have been killed by Taliban militants since 2004.
