Friday, 11 September 2009Turkish finance minister said on Friday that Turkey would most probably have a positive growth as of the fourth quarter of 2009.
Turkey's Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said Turkey had a high possibility to have a positive growth as of the fourth quarter.
"Turkey is in an economic recovery, beyond expectations of the global economy and this positive process will continue in coming days," Simsek told AA correspondent in Plon, Germany.
Simsek is actually in Plon to participate in the Global Economic Symposium. The minister said the worst days in Turkish and global economy were over.
Simsek said household was stronger in Turkey than that in other countries, and therefore Turkey had a high chance to recover from the global crisis quickly.
The Turkish minister also said that economic recovery would be seen in Turkey in coming months.
The Global Economic Symposium (GES) aims to provide a new collaborative setting to analyze the world's most important economic problems, create shared visions of the future and formulate innovative strategies to achieve these visions.
