Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and a delegation visited Karaganda in Kazakstan. The delegation was very well-informed about the dynamic development of Karaganda region’s economy. They were interested in the work of large industrial enterprises in the area of metallurgy, the food sector, and the pharmaceutical cluster.

Andrus Ansip said that, “We are receiving basic data in order to implement business projects with your people. Our businessmen will benefit a lot from acquiring first-hand knowledge of how plants are operating here in Karaganda.”

According to Andrus Ansip, Estonia is ready to cooperate with the Karaganda region in the area of transit goods through seaports of Estonia as well as sharing modern technologies of industrial processing of coal slates. The Estonian delegation is also interested in “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” which is the leader of native metallurgy.
