Georgia, Tbilisi, Sept. 10 /Trend News, N.Kirtzkhalia/

Yesterday's resolution by the UN General Assembly resolution on Georgia is a diplomatic and political victory for Georgia, Parliamentary Speaker, David Bakradze, told journalists on Sept. 10.

"After the August war, Russia several times forced the UN Security Council to block a draft resolution that would support the territorial integrity of Georgia," he said.

Bakradze stressed that yesterday Georgia could raise the issue, blocked by the UN Security Council, at the General Assembly and already in this format, it will get the support of most countries - members of the UN.

"It is very important that after last year's aggression, the territorial integrity of Georgia, refugees' right to repatriate and their property rights were again fixed," noted the speaker.

According to the speaker, this resolution means that "Russia is left alone".
