"Uzbekistan – our common home" friendship festival held in Navoi

Under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, there are good conditions for strengthening inter-ethnic peace and harmony between different nationalities.

Navoi region is inhabited by more than ninety nationalities. They work in manufacturing plants, educational, agricultural and other spheres, feeling their responsibility and involvement in the fate of the motherland.

It was stressed by the participants of the festival of friendship, held in Navoi city park of culture and recreation named after Alisher Navoi and dedicated to 18th anniversary of independence, UzA reported.

It was held under the motto "Uzbekistan – our common home". National cultural centers active in the field organized the festival exhibition, documenting the customs and traditions of different peoples.

"Our center was established with the aim of strengthening cultural ties, active participation in all the celebrations, festivals and other cultural and educational activities," said the head of the Kazakh national cultural center Turaboy Sarsenbayev.

The festival was continued with the concert program, prepared by the national cultural centers.
