Monday, 24 August 2009The population of Kazakhstan, as of July 1, 2009, has totaled 15 million 880.6 thousand people, the monthly report of Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informed.
"The population of the country, as of July 1, 2009, has amounted 15.9 million people. In comparison with January, 2009, it has increased by 0.7 % due to decrease of mortality rate in the country."
The number of urban population has amounted to 8473.5 thousand people and rural - 7407.1 thousand people, Kazakhstan Today agency reports.
