The Fire safety department of the Main department of interior affairs of Tashkent is adopting necessary measures on the eve of the 18th anniversary of independence of Uzbekistan and the 2,200th anniversary of the capital city.

The department has formed a special working group to ensure centralized management of the forces and operative analysis of the information received from various districts, UzA reported.

The fire safety officers are conducting explanatory work among the population, especially children and young people, as well as at different enterprises and organizations.

The related services have established constant control over the state of the houses, organizations and enterprises. The permanent checks and timely identification of shortcomings helps prevent the cases of fire.

A particular attention is being paid to ensuring fire safety of the places of celebrations – parks, palaces, theaters and stadiums.

In particular, monitoring of more than 300 objects located near the above-named places has been held. In addition, more than 100 apartment blocks and residential houses have been checked and necessary measures taken.

All fire cars have been brought into full readiness and equipped with required equipment. In cooperation with corresponding services, tactical exercises have been held.
