Friday, 21 August 2009Creation of space branch of Kazakhstan can be executed in close cooperation with Russia. The chairman of National Space Agency of Kazakhstan, Talgat Musabaev, said during the meeting with the head of Federal Space Agency of Russia, Anatoly Perminov, Kazakhstan Today agency reports citing official mass media.
T. Musabaev underlined that the goal set by the head of the state on creation of space branch of Kazakhstan can be executed in close cooperation with Russia. "Our goal - to be integrated into world space community and to create self-sufficient branch in Kazakhstan."
The meeting of heads of space agencies of Russia and Kazakhstan took place during the International Aviation and Space Salon - MAKS-2009).
The delegation of Kazcosmos and Russian Space Department discussed a number of important questions, such as the forthcoming launch from the cosmodrome Baikonur under the federal space program of Russia, the course of preparation of the bilateral agreement on improvements on the objects of the cosmodrome Baikonur, ecological support of launches of the carrier rockets carried out from Baikonur, and preparation for the next XII session of the subcommittee on Baikonur complex.
