Kazakh, Turkmen leaders discuss implementation of important projects |

Monday, 17 August 2009Presidents of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov discussed in telephone conversation participation of the two countries in the implementation of some strategically important multilateral projects.
N. Nazarbayev held telephone conversation with G. Berdymuhammedov taken place at the initiative of the Turkmen party, Kazakhstan Today agency reported citing the Kazakh president's press service.
The leaders of the states discussed issues of development of mutual relations, in particular, economic cooperation. It was a question of participation of the two countries in the implementation of some strategically important multilateral projects.
Among these projects are: construction of the new railroad line, which will connect Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran; construction of the Near-Caspian gas pipeline with participation of Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan; and the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China. |
