Friday, 7 August 2009The Turkish state ministry said on Thursday that problems Turkey faced in Russian customs would end thanks to a protocol signed by the two countries.
The office of State Minister Hayati Yazici released a statement regarding Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey and the talks between the Customs Undersecretariat of Turkey and Russia's Federal Customs Service on the sidelines of the visit.
The statement said that Turkey expected the protocol to end problems Turkey faced at the customs gates when exporting its products, and the trade volume to increase.
The statement said that Russia had committed to annul a circular on full control of Turkish products exported from Turkey until August 17.
"There will be no problems in our foreign trade with Russia in case parties, who are determined in solution of the problem, act in line with the provisions of the contract," the statement said.
The heads Turkish and Russian customs offices signed a memorandum of understanding on customs transactions earlier on Thursday. |
