Uzbek youth partakes in art and culture festival in China

Tian-zin, one of the large industrial and seaport cities of China, hosted the traditional International Children's and Youth Festival of Culture and Art, which is organized once in two years.

The event has been held under the motto of "Peace, friendship and future". Various youth groups from more than 40 countries and regions around the world and more than 2000 visitors from 23 provinces of China, as well as Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan participated in the festival, Jahon reported.

In the framework of the festival the concerts, meetings and the fifth International Youth Competition and Exhibition of Painting have been organized, as well. The competition was organized by Chinese People's Association of Friendship with foreign countries and People's government of Tian-Zin.

The foreign diplomats and high-ranking officials from municipal government bodies, including Zhan Gaoli, the Secretary of Municipal Committee of the city Tian-zin and Huan Singo, the governor of Tian-Zin city, participated at the opening ceremony of the festival.

More than 40 art works created by the youth of "New Generation Forum" Art school and Youth Creative Center have been displayed at the festival. The works of the Uzbek young painters attracted a keen interest in visitors.

The Tomosha Children's Folklore group from Uzbekistan has also successfully presented the country in the previous festival.
