Tuesday, 4 August 2009The price of OPEC oil basket has increased by 3.3 % and has reached its maximum for four days, the "Kazakhstan Today" agency reports citing an information-analytical portal Neft Rossii.
As of July 31, 2009, the price for OPEC oil basket has increased by $2.17 up to $68.59 per barrel that is the highest indicator since July 27. On July 27, the price of oil basket reached its maximum within three and a half weeks - $69.01 per barrel.
According to the official representative of Iran in the Organizations of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Mohammed Ali Hatibi, the prices for oil will reach $80 per barrel by the end of 2009.
According to M. Ali Hatibi, positive tendency in the oil market can be the reason for this increase.
