ALSKOM's income grows twofold, net profit by 132% in 1H 2009 |

Thursday, 30 July 2009Supervisory Council of ALSKOM insurance company held its session on 27 July to consider results of activity in the first half of 2009.
Chairman of the Council, Deputy Director General of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Informatization Asadjon Hodjaev conducted the meeting.
Director General of ALSKOM Tohirjon Iminov made a report on results of financial and economic activity of the company and fulfillment of the company's business plan indicators in January-June 2009.
The company signed a total of 82,957 insurance contracts in the reporting period, mainly with individuals. The volume of insurance premiums made up 2.8 billion soums, which is 2.6 times more on the year-on-year basis.
"The high growth rate of insurance premiums is explained by the active sale of services on the mandatory insurance of vehicle owners' civil liability," Iminov said.
ALSKOM in the first six months of 2009 boosted the activity of regional branches. Thus, the volume of premiums collected from the country's regions rose 5 times compared to the first half of 2008 and made up 1.5 billion soums in the reporting period.
The amount of payouts comprised 211.1 million soums in 1H 2009, which is 2.3 times more compared with 1H 2008. Average payout quotient made up 7.4%.
