KMG extracted oil by 3.8 % less than last year

JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production, taking into account the shares of the companies KazGerMunai and CCEL for the first half of 2009, has extracted 5673 thousand tons of oil (230.7 thousand barrels a day) that is by 226 thousand tons or 3.8 % less than during the similar period in 2008, "Kazakhstan Today" agency reports citing KMG press service.


"OzenMunaiGas and EmbaMunaiGas production branches in the first half of 2009 extracted 4422 thousand tons (179.8 thousand barrels a day) that is by 271 thousand tons or 5.8 % less than during the same period of 2008," the press service informs.
