Tuesday, 28 July 2009Uzbek students have won one silver and two bronze medals in the 50th international Olympiad in mathematics which was held in Bremen (Germany) on 10-22 July this year, UzA reports.
More than 600 young mathematicians from 104 countries of the world participated in the scientific competition.
Diyora Salimova, a student of academic lyceum under the Samarkand Economy and Service Institute, laureate of Public Prize named after Zulfiya, has obtained the silver medal.
Abror Pirnafasov and Azizkhon Nazarov, students of specialized boarding school No.1 of Karakul district, Bukhara region, have won bronze medals.
Ibrohimbek Akramov, a student of academic lyceum under the Samarkand Economy and Service Institute, has been awarded with an honorable diploma.
It should be noted that Uzbek students have been gaining prizes in this international intellectual competition since 1997. |
