Despite the crisis, agriculture is one of the branches where the prices for its products have not gone down and volumes of production have not decreased. The chairman of Majilis Committee for Agriculture, Romin Madinov, stated during the event organized by London stock exchange for the purpose of review of the market and possibilities of financing of agrarian and industrial complex of Kazakhstan, "Kazakhstan Today" agency reports.

"Despite today's crisis, agriculture is, probably, one of the branches where the prices for agricultural products have not gone down and volumes of manufacture have not decreased," the deputy noted.

"They have been saying Kazakhstan has very low productivity. In the USA productivity is 4 tons per hectare and in Kazakhstan productivity is 1 ton per hectare. The expenses per hectare in the USA total more than $500 and Kazakhstan current expenses per hectare - $100. Accordingly, the cost price of wheat in Kazakhstan is less than $100. This is our competitive advantage," he noted.
