Friday, 24 July 2009In Namangan region, as well as throughout the country, harvest festivals are held. One of such events took place in Pap district, UzA reports.
"This year, all 447 farms that specialize in grain growing have produced a rich harvest," said the head of the regional agriculture and water management department Usmonjon Holbaev. "Our farmers received 42.2 centners of grain per hectare."
The district farmers received income of 12 billion soums, of which about 3 billion soums is net profit. These funds will be used for further development of the sector, purchase of new equipment and technology, modernization of production and improving rural infrastructure.
Mirsulton-ota Fayozov farm is considered one of the best in the region. The members of the farm received 47 centners of yield per hectare from 247 hectares of lands.
The head of the farm Kamoliddin Fayoz said a solid portion of the profit would be used for establishment of enterprises for processing agricultural products.
Representatives of tens of farm that were the leaders during the grain season received memorable presents at the celebrations.
