Kyrgyz Presidential Elections Recognized As Successful

Kyrgyz presidential elections have been recognized as successful. Voter turnout has exceeded 50 percent and reached 60 percent, the Central Election Committee's website said.   

The number of voters hit 1 million 712,000 people, i.e. almost 60 percent of total number of the Republic's voters. This information was reported at 15:15 local time (13:15 Moscow time) by the Central Election Committee, RIA Novosti said.

According to Kyrgyz legislation, voter turnout must reach 50 percent for elections to be recognized.
